Despite the extra week-long holiday that NYP has given us, it is still not enough to finish up my work. Yeah I know, it’s probably my fault for not doing much things during the holidays. But hey, they pushed us so much during school days so it’s only natural that I want to slack during holidays right? Right??. Ah well anyways, here are the remaining things that I have to do:
3D Modeling: Replicate my friend’s face in Maya, limiting myself to 200 faces, and 500 faces. (DEADLINE – 9/7/09)
Motion Graphics: Make channel ID. (DEADLINE – 7/7/09)
Principle Of Games Design: Make PowerPoint slides for group members. (DEADLINE – 7/7/09)
Visual Arts: Animate pixel character with idle movement and attack action. (DEADLINE – 10/7/09)
Web Design: replicate the given web page in HTML and CSS. (DEADLINE – 6/7/09)
Last week, Valve promised us that the creation tool for Left 4 Dead will be released this week. And sure enough, here it is! We can now look forward to highly anticipated custom campaigns like Dawn Of The Dead. I haven’t gone into any custom campaigns so far, but we should just give it some time. I’m sure in a week or so, there will be something new.
For those of you who have been following, you will know that Battlefield Heroes is now fully operational. You can sign up and download the game right now! I have to say, this is a unique way to download/install a game. It seems that you will be downloading the game launcher through your internet web browser, and then from the launcher you will be downloading the real game.
As for those of you who have no idea what this game is, it is basically what you can expect from a Battlefield game, except this is a arcade/cartoon-y style (e.g. Team Fortress 2). Ok fine, maybe saying cartoon-y may upset some Team Fortress 2/Battlefield: Heroes players. Lets say… Stylized? Yeah that sounds a lot better =).
I’m downloading this game now. I hope it will make a good first impression on me…
After three days of absence (busy playing Prototype), I found out that there are 1000++ news for me to cover!! That is too much for one guy, so I’m afraid I will have to skipp these 1000++ news, unless there is something really interesting to share with you guys. Sorry!
Well, Revenge Of The Fallen is finally here, and everybody’s is thinking: “Is this game worth my money?” and “Will this be an improvement from the last crappy Transformers game?” The reviews are in and you can finally get those thoughts out of your heads!
IGN has posted some sort of preview for the different features experienced in Splinter Cell: Conviction while playing the E3 demo. Everybody have probably already watched the videos of the E3 demo, but sometimes it is also good to read. Just head over to IGN and give the article a quick look =).
GameTrailers re-viewed the E3 trailer for Assassin’s Creed II and decided to add in some additional information about Venice and what they observe. I have to say their video editing skills are top notch, and not to mention their typography. The people in GameTrailers do their homework, and they do it well. You will understand very well what I mean when you watch it. I highly recommend fans of AC to watch it. You can view the video below, or go to GameTrailers.com to watch the HD version.
This is the launch trailer for Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. It seems that next I will be having a double dose of Transformers as I am going to watch the movie and play the game.
Some people have gotten a hold of the PSP version of the game, and it is not doing too well. The console versions will of course be much better than the PSP version, but I hope it will be a major improvement from the first game because the first game was really bad.
Techland seem to be releasing quite a few trailers for their upcoming game Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood. This new trailer is entitled “The McCalls Will Ride”. As you can guess from the title, the trailer will involve a lot of horseback riding action from the game.
The first Call Of Juarez didn’t really appeal to me because of all the “sneak into enemy territory undetected” kind of missions. I am not really interested in these kind of gameplay (e.g. Thief). I played stealth/assassination games before (e.g. Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell), but I don’t really like to play it this way. I really hope Bound In Blood will be different because so far it looks great to me.
The events in Bound In Blood happen before the first game, so if you haven’t played it or didn’t complete it like me, then it is not too bad.
@S4G hmm this is interesting. i wonder how they are going to do this because there are some changes in l4d2. e.g increased gore for infected 2 days ago
